Pavel Tsatouline is a genius in strength programming.
He put Dan John on his protocol of doing the same key movements 5 times per week for 40 workouts.
What he found is that after 20 sessions most athletes had already achieved lifetime bests.
These methods may miss some factors about structural balance etc for the long-term but if we’re talking about 1-2 months of training for new lifetime bests then it’s probably a sacrifice worth making.
 
How it works. Lift for 2 easy sets of 5 most days.
Once a week do 5-3-2.
Once every 2 weeks do 6x1.
If you need an easier day do 10x1.
 
Never miss a rep or tax yourself overly. Generally I use this protocol for 2 weeks at a time for the same variation of lift.
