Your Emergency Fund - One Key To Non - Conformity
One Fundamental Of Non-Conformity.
If a world was to be set up to work against the majority what would it look like?
- > Poor food, brainwashed conformity, physical decline, lost self-belief…
What is the alternative?
During high school, like most of us, I decided to be a nonconformist in terms of work and education.
One of the decisions was not to work 9-5 pm and never to be pinned under a mortgage that would take 30 years to pay with no way to win once the interest is calculated.
This article might seem abstract. The truth is it’s not. It’s REAL TALK that is seldom addressed in the modern world. It’s a taboo topic.
In fact, only wealthy people tend to talk openly about money.
Let us go down that path.
Take on the experiment with a minimum buy-in or if you know this is where you must go, go all in and create an emergency fund.
The truth is we all conform.
The question is to what?
Even the most “original thinkers” and “mystics” will usually credit higher forces to their “new ideas.”
Many great minds say that ideas choose them.
That something in the environment connects them to the truth and solutions they want to access.
The decision is not to be a member of the 95% of society that lives in poor or mediocre financial, physical, mental, and spiritual circumstances.
Sure we’re not all going to be super-rich financially overnight but simply by making the decision to live well and act in that direction with reflection and self-determination you’re joining a small % of society. To write and review your goals is rare.
Most people don’t value their journey enough to reflect on what is going well and what needs to change. Or they have never been exposed to the concept. It has never occurred to them that their quality of life is their decision.
LIVE WELL.
So training, eating well, getting to sleep, making your bed… they’re all non-conformist acts that open the gates to a new different future. We’ve seen it over and over again with RealMVMT members. Regardless of how elite they become, something shifts when their decision is made to live well.
SERVE OTHERS
The next big jump is to choose a life of service.
When we decide to help others, with the knowledge that we are the greatest limitation on what others see as possible for themselves, great things follow.
Your training is no longer just about your short-term gratification.
It’s a lifelong quest.
To live well.
To serve others.
Why is it that so few have chosen this path?
Why is it that so few are able to walk it nearly as consistently as they would like to?
One reason is financial pressure.
Fear of poverty is almost universal today.
If you had $100,000 in cash reserves and $100,000 of money laying around to create what you will… What would you do?
See this creative process is sacred.
It’s Godly.
To seek truth and then express that truth is rare but valuable.
If we haven’t decided to LIVE WELL, if we haven’t decided to SERVE then we might only look for selfish uses for that $200,000 but if we have a clear path and purpose all sorts of doors are now open to us.
Start/upgrade a gym. Advertise more. Pay more staff. Start clothing, supplement, food company, or cooperative. Travel the world seeking truth and the best in your biggest area of interest.
What would you do?
Who would you be?
Under the pressure of scarcity and lack, we think and therefore LIVE small.
Few from the 95% can zoom out and look at where the world is headed and what part they would like to play in that.
You may well be in agreement at this point.
You might also be wondering why I’m stating the obvious that financial abundance is rare and can be used to create.
Well, you came here for a reason.
You came here to be great.
On some level, you know this to be true.
And yet…
More than 50% of our members don’t have 2 months’ living expenses laying around.
This is a broken philosophy.
Unless you have never worked something is going wrong when this is the case!
How can we be sovereign and creative with no financial underpinning?
Yes, some single people and monks can probably trust the charity of others to pursue their spiritual goals but I would argue that we are here to live in this physical world as well as spiritual realms.
SOLUTIONS
- Create an account that has no card, no internet banking, and is at a bank that you don’t bank with.
- Set up a regular debit to that account.
- Invest periodically in precious metals or cash products until you have 6 months worth of family living expenses stashed away (this might take a few months or a few years). Even having a few hundred dollars in this account starts to change your identity. You become a person of wealth.
Some would tell you to pay off your mortgage with credit cards first.
I disagree.
You’re paying banks and retailers before you pay for yourself.
In this way, you can get to the point where you own nothing but a debt that you have no hope of repaying anytime soon and ongoing bills.
This is the most common reality.
This is unacceptable.
FAQ.
What if I have NO MONEY?
- Get work. As someone who has hired many staff over recent years, it’s not easy. There are literally hundreds of millions of opportunities out there. Get good at something, Work hard at it. Be more valuable.
- Create a business. Today you can start a sales-based business for less than $1000, many commission/affiliate/network marketing businesses can be started for NOTHING! It won’t be easy but you will learn a lot and you can build a fortune for yourself with no start-up funds. If you’d like to one day run your own business but don’t have the experience I would highly recommend starting here with next to no risk. Develop yourself before you ask others to invest in you and before you risk your own $ in your business.
- You actually do have the money you just get rid of it all as it comes in. Reframe.
What if I don’t have MUCH extra MONEY?
- Start where you are. $5 a week is better than nothing. Once $5 becomes normal $10 won’t be a stretch. Once you get a taste for it $100 a week will be doable and you’re on a new path. Once you have the identity of wealth creation a new future is possible.
- Cut out the junk. Coffee, ubers, restaurant meals, etc. most people waste $100+ dollars a week on stuff that doesn’t bring any real joy or return. Identify it. Take steps to reduce it. Yes, you have to have a conscience to do this. Yes, that is what we want!
Why a separate account with decreased access?
- We want the subconscious to shift out of lack and fear of poverty. To know it’s there but not to be tempted to dive into it is the key.
When would I use the cash?
- If you lost your income for a period and needed it to survive.
- If there is a family emergency that it means a lot for you to assist. (Know that you’re removing your own emergency fund, don’t take this decision lightly). Most people flush their savings into medical treatments that accelerate death and remove wealth in the last months of their lives.
- Ideally never. Pass it on to your kids or someone else. It’s not that much money. It just sits there for the mental peace that it creates.
What if the pressure and fear of poverty are what drives me? Maybe I will lack motivation and creativity if I’m not under direct financial pressure to survive month to month.
- It is possible but unlikely. Few of the great people of history seem to have lived under this kind of financial pressure to survive.
- Try it my way. If it doesn’t work just store the gold away somewhere and forget about it. Plan to never touch it and the pressure will still be close enough.
- You will still have plenty of pressure 2-6 months to get yourself together or deal with emergency expenses isn’t a long time.
Shouldn’t I be creating wealth investing in high growth since I’m young and the market / real estate always wins in the long term?
- Yes, it is a good idea to have wealth-generating assets that agree with your values. This habit will place you in a position to start to accumulate them
