Paleo Medicina Notes
PKD - Paleo Keto Diet
This is the most healing diet this medical group has found for overcoming cancer and auto-immune conditions.
70-100% animal products.
Some fruits, organic paleo vegetables, and honey.
Animal foods include red and fatty meats, fat, and offal preferably from pasteurised animals
- Fat: protein ratio about 2:1 (in grams)
- No nitrates, nitrites, or other additives in meat products
- Plant foods only include fruits and ”paleolithic” vegetables from organic sources (no nightshades or legumes)
- No artificial sweeteners but honey are allowed in moderation
- Black and herbal tea are excluded
- Coffee is allowed only after full regeneration and in moderation
- Eggs are initially excluded in those with highly elevated intestinal permeability and/or vaccines during the preceding 6 months
100g meat / 35g fat
1g protein: 2g fat
Meat, fats, organ meats
FAT: Tallow, suet, trimmings, brains, marrow,
Meat: less than 1kg /day, closer to 300-500g / day for healing.
Liver > 500g / wk
Brains > 250g / wk
Marrow, kidneys, sweet breads +++
TESTS
Fasted Blood Glucose > 2.5-4.5 (60-80mg/dl) and should remain similar. Flatline continual glucose monitoring. (HBA1C is indirect and less important and reflects other things - inflammation could increase HBA1C)
PEG (polyethylene glycol) 400 - intestinal permeability.
PEG getting into the urine shows what was able to pass through the gut lining.
Medications and supplements
Lactose > binders etc. small amount can maintain the autoimmunity / leaky gut. Full medication removal over time. Get off all supplements.
Dairy
Autism, allergies, auto-immunity.
PKD Vs Type 1 Diabetes
Treated.
Insulin free.
Own insulin production is restored in some children and young adults. Not shown in any other treatment. 3 years have been replicated.
Adherence is key.
Cancer
Nuclear genome and mitochondrial damage. Metabolic theory shows that poor energy causes genetic mutation and cancer. Intestinal permeability is key and often not improved with poor food choice ketogenic diet.
Excess Protein
Going above the needed amount creates problems especially in the absence of enough fat. Don't overeat! Eat when you're really hungry. Don't go overboard on fat either.
There is an upper limit for protein usage.
Ammonia is an energy burden > too much protein. BUN, inflammation, uric acid, and glucose. More digestive enzymes are needed for excess protein and can create bad breath.
Less ATP for a given amount of food is much higher on a ketogenic diet.
Glucose depletes vit c and magnesium from excess protein or carbs.
Glucose-based metabolism: western/high meat carnivore diet.
Fat / ketone-based diet: runs clean and high energy.
Amino acids are recycled on a daily basis. You don't need 150-200g of protein per day.
Minerals
Magnesium is generally NOT deficient and muscle tension/cramping is good.
Salt to taste. Need should decrease.
