I would say this is my favorite innovation in strength training in a long time.
Came from Real Movement coach Franz and the simple innovation of elevating the feet really changes the game on these. I am yet to gain the ability to do this movement off the floor but with the feet elevated, I can get that feeling of strengthening that end position.
Accelerating out the bottom because it's a lighter load because of the angle. Now I'm actually training these positions and I can feel it improving quite quickly. This is my favorite movement innovation in a long time.
The thing that I've implemented into my training.
You can really feel the quads work hard and the quads need this.
These are the most anabolic movements. The end position is the most anabolic place to perform a strength feet and a lengthened range because you've got that connective tissue pulling hard on the muscle.
There's already tension there and then you contract the muscles.
If you really wanted to tear a muscle.
If someone was going to give you a million dollars to tear your quad then something along these lines might help you.
To prepare for that, you would probably do a lot of quarter squats, path repetitions, fatigue, and tighten everything as much as you can, and then you'd come into these positions with speed.
