Alternate Grip Chin Up plus Dip

Video preview

It's the alternate grip chin up together with the dip.
Alternate grip means one hand facing forwards, one hand facing backwards.
We want to get that same lock-off at the top.
You're going to go for equal number of repetitions, left side to right side over the whole session.
You can see that we can switch the emphasis towards the underhand arm or the overhand.
This time we're going to focus on the underhand.
So if we go slightly wider that's going to increase the difficulty.
If we go more narrow it's going to become easier.
That's our ultimate grip tune-up.
Next, we have the dip.
Smooth and controlled.
Find your depth.
Both of these exercises can be regressed back.
We can work all the way back to ring rows and push-up variations if you're not ready for the dip.
So everybody can get started on this and we can progress as the strength increases.
