When we train we’re mostly encouraging the body to continually rebalance where the mass is. Muscles that are rarely used will become smaller while those that are damaged most frequently will grow.
Most athletes and coaches aren’t aware that the most stretch a muscle is under when it’s loaded the more damage will be done.
Damage is what causes the hypertrophy.
This means that the STRETCHED positions are the most valuable for maximal muscle gains.
Training this way makes LONGER muscles.
Longer muscles are less easily torn(!)
